Stephanie from Hookin' Knittin' & Livin has inspired me for today's post, with her photo of where she'd rather be.
It has been a tiring week, with a couple of difficult meetings at work, and a busy time at home, so I'm tempted to say I'd rather be here

yes, actually having the craic.....
but my soul could use some peace, so really I'd rather be here... walking around the lakes
or sitting on this bench, soaking up some autumn sun.
These last two are Glendalough, which in Irish means the glen of the two lakes. It is a place of great beauty, only a short drive from Dublin, where St. Kevin hung out for a while. I guess he found peace too.
And this is very similar to where Stephanie wants to be, and for similar reasons!
Ah, we're thinking alike. Nothing like a bit of fresh air and quiet to lift the spirits.
ReplyDeleteI hope that this little break helped your week. I felt better.
Those trees behind the bench are so beautiful! I would probably have to sit on the bench backwards to get a good look at them while I was resting. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI almost always would rather be someplace like Glendalough, especially on a day when it is relatively unpeopled! I love people, but in order to recharge I must have solitude!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots of the lake and bench; the first is a good shot, too, but not where I would like to be, at all!
I love this idea for a post! That first picture is beautiful! I want to be there too...
ReplyDeleteGlendalough looks a perfect place to be. You are lucky that it is so close to Dublin.

Nuts in May
Would love to be sitting on that bench or walking around those lakes right now, Mimi
ReplyDeleteI will meet you at the bench and have a quiet visit. It looks so calm and peaceful there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I'd like to sit on that seat too. :)
