Behind the Parade 2 and Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! It's turning into a busy weekend of celebrating, all packed in.
I hope all you Mothers are being spoiled and given lots of treats!

I can't believe this is my 3rd year of "Behind the Parade" from Dublin! To see PART ONE of this year's offering, click HERE!
Spotted on the way home: €10 for dinner and a pint- not a bad deal! I like the rainbow and bottle bin at the bottom of the poster too!
This band were setting up as I was on my way home, not much of an audience, but maybe later. The red building behind them houses The Bretzel, a fantastic Jewish bakery, we sometimes call there on Sundays for delicious breads and muffins, yum!
After all that waiting and cheering, all kids wanted some ice-cream..This is the bit I don't like- lots of litter and cans thrown on pavements. I don't understand why people do this when there are lots of litter bins around.
Cute huddle outside Government Buildings
Car with decoration, and sweeping truck on the clean-up routine...
On the way home, I passed a well-known knick-nack shop, Christy Bird's in Portobello, and he had some interesting pieces in the window.
An interesting combination! The Guinness toucan, remember him?

I've never before seen a green Bakelite phone!

I had a lovely vista pic, which is on my way back home, but deleted it by mistake. Why doesn't blogger have an undo button?
Hope you all had a good day, and I'll be around to visit later!

  1. My father used to work for the telephone company and one day he brought home a pink one! That one looks like it comes from the days when avocado and gold were popular colors.

But green is green and a most appropriate window item!

  2. I used to have a pink phone, but don't think I've ever seen the green. It certainly looks fitting in that setting.

  3. I've got up with your Saint Patrick's Day posts - as always a splendid pictorial of the day.
I would LOVE to have that old phone!
Thanks for sharing your celebration with us - here's to next year. ;)

  6. What a fun series of photos. Too bad about the deleted image but if it was only deleted from Blogger, couldn't you upload it again?

    1. Hilary, unfortunately I deleted it from the computer as soon as I uploaded it...but then deleted it from blogger as I was tweaking the post! Lesson learned!

  7. I hate it when people don't put trash in the trash can. Seriously, sometimes they're standing not three feet away from one. We used to have a green phone just like that one!

  9. An undo button on Blogger would be good and safer for people like me, who tend to make lots of mistakes.Thats why I never risk changing my blog!

I hate the way people throw down rubbish & I often pick up cans for recycling. People must think I'm mad!

Have a Happy, Blessed Easter, Mimi.
