Summer Mountain Walk

I've neglected my blog again, and have so much to talk about that I don't know where to begin.

Maybe start with a recent lovely walk on the Dublin Mountains.. that's Dublin city in the background.

The weather this summer has been bad, cold with lots of rain, but we were blessed on this Saturday, just the right amount of sunshine!
There are some very interesting heathers up there
and this green stuff only grows where the air is pure, so I'm told..
the 3 amigos on top of the mountain!
 in the forest..
looking into the forest, looks like snow in this pic!
This is one of my favourites, just so much flora in it
and cheering when we came down. It's hard to believe that this place of beauty is about 15 minutes drive from my house!

  1. That last picture is soooo beautiful!

  2. Wow, thank you for taking us along. What beautiful countryside you enjoy so close to town. I hope you take us along again sometime.

  3. I think I'd be out on a hike all the time if I lived there. It's beautiful.

  4. Loved going on that walk with you........ and it was quite painless!

  5. What marvelous adventures you've been having this summer - definitely one to remember!

  6. Looks like a lovely day in the mountains!

Funny, after the cold start, I've been telling everyone we've had a lovely summer! Lots of rain, but lots of sun too!

I think neglecting ones blog is a sign of a fun summer. At least that's what I've been telling myself!

  7. You make me want to get out and go exploring in my area. We have some nature reserves..preserves?- and I really need to take advantage of them being so close. And then there's the beach which is about 3 miles from the house. Sheesh. :) I love your pictures but the one where it looks like there's snow in the woods is my favorite. I love snow! Do you get much there? I don't know much about your weather.

  8. Can't believe I missed this post. I wish I'd known about this walk when we were there. Just another reason to come back.

    1. You will be welcome back any time Stephanie! I will even organise the walk! and maybe a picnic too!
