Lovely visitor
Spotted this little guy Saturday morning on a sage leaf.
these photos are taken by hubby, you probably can tell that they're not my usual quality!
I love this last one, "let's see what's up this path".
I love these creatures. That lady bird in the middle picture looks like she's walking on a knitted glove....... but its sage! Wonderful close up work! Ladybirds are such good things to have as killers of aphids so I am a bit dismayed when many seem to land upside down in water. Sometimes I am there to rescue one or two. Maggie X
Mimi, what delightful pictures! I wish I could photograph like that! Your husband has talent. Whenever I try taking pictures of tiny things, they look like a blob on a blob. I have always loved ladybugs. However, in college, when the weather turned cold, they would fly into our dorm stairwell and clump up together and die. There were masses of dead, brown ladybugs all over the place. It was disgusting and almost put me off ladybugs for good. But they're so sweet when they're alive, I have to keep loving them!
Oh, Mimi, these are beautiful. Of course, I love ladybugs. They're such good friends in our garden which would teem with aphids without them.
