This is an old knitting pattern that belonged to my Mum.
I've always loved the term "fuzzy wuzzy" to describe angora wool, it just seems word-perfect.
The shop stamp on it is The Knitting Pin, Prospect Road, Glasnevin (near cemetery).
More on that in the next post.

Great "fuzzy wuzzy" pichah !!!!
ReplyDeleteHowdy from Hollydale :-)
Isn't it fun to have these old patterns. You have the connection to your mom. And you have a connection to the shop's past. I do assume that the shop is no longer there.
ReplyDeleteFuzzy-wuzzy also reminds me of caterpillars. Angora is a prettier fuzz.
I dropped in from Authorblog, glad to find another educator. Sorry to hear about your school budget cuts.
ReplyDeleteSo weird. When I read "fuzzy wuzzy", a poem popped in my head that I used to say as a little kid. I don't think I've recited it since I was six, and somehow, it climbed right out of my brain:
ReplyDeleteFuzzy Wuzzy was a bear.
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair.
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy, wuz he?
I LOVE it when you find things still in your brain somewhere!
My Gran tried to teach me to knit once - It didn't work!!
