Oops, caught in the act!

This is the end of my road by day.

The other night, I was coming home from a walk and, as I rounded the corner turning onto my road, I saw a shadow facing into these bushes.

This is what it looked like by night. Yes, dark, quite dark.

I assumed it was just a couple kissing, and thought to myself "Gosh, she's really pushed right into those bushes" but just as I reached that spot, the guy turned round to face me (there was no couple!) and I realised he'd just finished peeing into the gap in the bushes. I don't know which of us was more embarassed, neither of us spoke, and all I could think was "thank God I don't know him, or his mother"!

Do guys in other countries do this? And what do you think of it? I find it quite disgusting, and don't see why they can't do what women have to do, and find a toilet.

  1. Not like he's in the middle of a farmer's field in the back of beyond, is it? I'm with you...yuck! I suspect men everywhere do this. Certainly happens here.

  2. How disgusting! ... Not the kind of thing you want to bump into in the middle of the night!! ;0)

  3. Ewww. Too bad it wasn't a thorn bush! Hehe.

Thank you for the visit and comment, Mimi. Having my work compared to Runi's is high praise indeed!

  4. All in agreement then?
Thanks for your comments, it's interesting to get an opinion.
Fireblossom- I really did mean it,and I'm glad you take it as a compliment. Keep writing! Please!

  5. You'd be surprised. A lot of old people (yes, grandma too) and guys in Japan do this. I'm sure they would prefer a toilet, but when you gotta go you gotta go. Not just out in the boonies either. I've seen it in Tokyo too. But I can honestly say, I have seen it on this side of the ocean too. When I was a teen, I worked for the local equivalent of an amusement park. Walking across the parking lot to enter the park, I see an overweight woman (making the sight even worse) squatting beside her truck and letting it flow. As gross as it may seem, have fun with it. Root them on or wave at them as you go by.
