"Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love."
It's as relevant today as it was in the 13th Century when written by St. Francis of Assisi.
Peace begins within our hearts and our homes.

  1. I love that. It is such a good, wholesome and true reminder!!

  2. Have you heard this prayer (all of it) set to music? It is very moving and spirit-lifting.

  3. St. Francis kicks Ass(isi). No really, I love him. :)

  4. That is so true and that was a beautiful little post.
    Let us all remember it as we go about our day.

  5. You couldn't have chosen a more fitting quote for today!
    Lovely post Mimi!
    Have a peaceful day!
    Mine’s here: Round The Bend.

  6. Stephanie, I used to sing it in the school choir!
    It is indeed beautiful.

  7. So true, as much today as ever. Thank you for sharing it, and for the inspirational words you left on my blog as well.

    Peace often feels so very far away, but sometimes, when we try hard enough, we can bring it just a little bit closer.

  8. Mimi! Thank you so much for posting this peace globe in last year's launch. It has now been placed in the Peace Globe Gallery as officially #1704. It will post July 14, 2010 at
    I love the prayer you posted and the good peace vibes within.
