Ruby Tuesday

Ok, it's not exactly ruby red, but here's the thing..

Having given up its ruby red berries, this wild strawberry plant then delights with this fabulous display of fading autumn glory. Only when the berries are gone do I notice the beautiful leaf shape and the variegation in its foliage.

And as soon as winter's frosts have cleared, it will start all over again.

  2. All those beautiful shades of red and pink mixed with the many greens. A painter's delight - or maybe a nightmare. I love how nature puts all these colors together and makes it look so easy - and so good.

  3. I've never really sat and looked that closely at a strawberry plants leaves. They are quite striking. Very nice picture.
